Austin founded Energyscapes after serving in the United States military, where he developed a deep appreciation for operational discipline, systematic accountability, and the kind of relentless follow-through that most industries — including commercial landscaping — simply don't practice.
After leaving the service, he saw an industry plagued by the same problems everywhere: missed visits with no documentation, surprise invoices, vendors who went silent after signing a contract, and property managers left to babysit crews instead of managing their portfolios. He built Energyscapes to fix that.
